Arthritis

Over 46 million people have been diagnosed with arthritis. It is said to be increasing by 4% per year. This is very sad because arthritis is one of the most debilitating conditions there is. People don’t really die from arthritis. They just become more and more miserable. The quality of life goes down and down from the pain until the person really can’t and doesn’t want to do anything. According to classical medicine, arthritis has no cure. Natural healers beg to differ. Whenever you say there is no known cause in the same breath you are saying there is no known cure. They go together. If you can determine what is underneath the arthritis that is there you can work to reverse the condition. This of course is the approach at our office.

There are several types of arthritis: osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis being the most common. Osteoarthritis is a localized inflammation of the joints often related to previous injury. Rheumatoid arthritis has swollen inflammation with a tissue infiltration of the joints and ultimate joint deformity. Psoriatic arthritis also has a skin condition (psoriasis) over the joints.

When I test people for arthritis I most always find an immune challenge in the affected joints. There are a multitude of potentially infectious organisms in our environment that do not even have a name placed on them, much less a test developed to detect them. Even if there were they are pretty much untreatable medically unless they fall into a very small category of certain types of bacteria which antibiotics can handle. The majority of organisms by far that seem to affect the joints fall into this “other than bacteria” classification which happen to, thankfully, respond well to a natural approach. By giving the immune system exactly what it needs to heal it will often go in and handle this unknown infection that is resulting in pain and inflammation in the joints that has been labeled arthritis. Once this immune system challenge is handled and the joints heal the condition previously diagnosed as arthritis usually goes away. Rheumatoid arthritis in particular may require extra enzymes and joint nutrition to handle the swollen tissues and joints after the immune challenge is gone in order to attain relief.

Handling the immune challenge in the joints is just the first layer in handling the arthritis. You also have to handle what allowed the infection to be in the joints in the first place. Something was wrong with the environment of the joints in order for the infection to be able to grow there. Often times it is related to the kidneys not keeping the mineral balance of the joints within normal range. Sometimes there are toxins from the bowel that the liver is not removing that then affect the joints. It might be that healing of joints is impaired and the tissues cannot keep up with the amount of wear and tear. Whatever the reason it should be located. Otherwise the immune challenge or infection will simply return along with arthritis symptoms. This is where Cause and Effect comes into play. By determining exactly what the immune system needs to be strong enough to handle the unknown infection or immune challenge, then by locating and correcting underlying causes and finally by determining exactly what is necessary to help heal the damaged joints and tissues even a condition as difficult as arthritis may be helped.

The pain of arthritis can make a person non-stop miserable. It’s not fair that some should have to put up with such a condition. If you believe that there is nothing that can be done about it you have been sold a bill of goods. Bear in mind, I never once said it was easy to fix. It can be quite a fight to overcome it. But there is something that can be done about it. If you are unhappy with the condition of your joints and would like to see if help might be possible call 260-459-6160. It beats being hopeless and helpless.
